OK, was it just me that missed the fact that just before Christmas Beyonce’s parents, Matthew and Tina Knowles definately began court proceedings to get their divorce in motion! Tina filed divorce papers against her husband of 29 years under the name Celestine, papers that became public just before the holidays….. Unfortunately it seems that money really can’t solve everything…..

Many seem to be pointing the finger at Alexsandra Wright, who filed a paternity suit against Matthew Knowles in October 2009, CLAIMING that she was 6 months pregnant with his child. This 30 year old woman was a business associate of Knowles’, they worked in the same marketing and promotions industry, so the rumours that she is carrying his baby could well be true……

However Tina Knowles had reportedly moved out ….and more or less up and left Matthew Knowles WAAAAAAAY BACK in January 2009 so maybe Alexsandra wasn’t the straw that broke the camels back!

Either way the couple had released a statement about their divorce and it seems to be as clean a divorce as you can wish for…. so far anyways:

“The decision to end our marriage is an amicable one. We remain friends, parents, and business partners. If anyone is expecting an ugly messy fight, they will be sadly disappointed. We ask for your respect of our privacy as we handle this matter.”

I’m pretty sad for Beyonce and Solange…. I know they are grown but at any age it’s hard to watch your parents get a divorce….. especially when you are 20 odd and you are used to your parents being together…. I suppose people think Beyonce has everything …..but apparently no ones life is perfect….. It’s sad but true….. I just hope it doesn’t get messy and this lil Alexsandra chick doesn’t start ruining their family!
