So today I have a full day off, which is rare…..and I decided to surf the web…..to my HORROR I came across this little piece of information:

Keily Williams, who was formerly one of The Cheetah Girls and a member of girl group 3LW,  told EUR Web that when her MOTHER, was in a relationship with Joe (yes…hot,smooth voiced singer, Joe) she was a victim of DOMESTIC ABUSE! (Just want to stress the relationship was with her MOTHER…before some idiot starts calling Joe a perv!)

I nearly fell off my damn chair…Joe…..Domestic Abuse…..Get outta here!! Here’s what she had to say:

“I have had my own personal experience with domestic abuse with my mother having been in an emotionally and physically abusive relationship with the R&B singer Joe for several years.

I saw the toll it took on her and how difficult her recovery was. I wish Rihanna the best and hope that she gets through what I know is a terrible ordeal.”

OK, firstly I’m not entirely sure if I believe this…..especially because I’m not sure who she means by her ‘mother.’ Keily’s biological mother passed away when she was a child and has no connection to the music industry….thus I am assuming that she is referring to her legal guardian, Michelle Williams….who was a music artist manager, but there is not much info linking her to Joe…..

Secondly, she’s inferring that she is speaking out due to the Chrihanna incident but…… her career seems to be dwindling since 3LW broke up …….so I’m beginning to question her actual ’motivation’ for speaking out??

Finally, I think that Joe is a fab singer and even though there have been RUMORS about him being involved in domestic violence before….nothing has ever come of it….No charges, No court proceedings etc…..so before we start castrating him I think we should think about what Al Sharpton and Congresswoman, Shelia Lee Jackson,said at MJ’s memorial yesterday……people are INNOCENT until proven guilty!

Look what speculation and rumors did to THE GREATEST PERFORMER of ALL time….. they dug him an early grave and forced a genius to live a life as a condemned man!(and it breaks my heart everytime I think about it…) Anywho back to the issue at hand……

Rapper, Common and Tennis icon, Serena Williams were in NY on Monday night having themselves a little dinner date!! The two dined at the Waverly Inn and have been dating for over a year now….they were spotted getting extra cozy in Miami in April 2008. (pic below)

It seems Serena fits Commons depiction of a perfect woman. In an interview with People Magazine he said: “I like women who have power to them, but can still be ladylike and that have their own dreams.”

Serena definately has her own dreams and seems to be forfilling each one of them…she recently defeated her sister, Venus, in Wimbeldon, which means she has 3 Wimbeldon Championships under her belt….and has won 11 major titles! “I didn’t think about Venus at all today. I just saw her as an opponent,” Serena stated when asked about her victory.

Common and Serena seem like a lovely couple, he is conscious Black brotherwith an admirable level of intellect and sophisication and humility, that is rare to find in today’s average rapper, and Serena has a azz you could balance a plate on….and a warm heart!

Awwww…..OK I’ma stop getting soppy now….but seriously I think if this keeps going we could have some seriously talented babies on the way! =D

I think these two could go the distance…..Amours, could it be love?
