If you didn’t hear about the Earthquake in Haiti, it occuredyesterday and was a dreadful 7.0 magnitude…. This is THE most severe earthquake to hit Haiti in a century and the sheer strength of the Earthquake has caused many to expect what CNN are calling a “Serious Loss of Life.” Please pray for the people of Haiti….

On a side note I’m disgusted that the BBC DO NOT have a HELPLINE available for people in Englandto call if they are trying to contact family and friends that live in Haiti…. I’m aware that there are not that many Haitians living in London but that is definitely besides the POINT….. they need to SORT IT OUT!!! ASAP!

I caught this over on Necole Bitchie’s site yesterday and I was surprised athow eloquently and accurately he described the difference between f**king and making love.…. It made me say “ahhhh” and nod my head in agreement! lol Have a butcher’s: (U.S. translation: a look)

So in 2009, I must admit I had days, weeks and months in which I was so depressed with my life and unhappy with my circumstances that I simply couldn’t wake up in the morning…. I have come to find that all I managed to do successfully in this period was waste time! I woke up this morning, this morning in 2010 at 6am after going to bed at 2am….. For some reason I feel inspired as I realised just how much of a difference it makes when you just pull yourself out of bed, WAKE UP and FEEL inspired!

Here are 10 Inspirational Reasons YOU should wake up in the morning….. Reach your potential and LIVE your life, do NOT merely exist!

1. You are ALIVE- Wake up because you are blessed with the GIFT of life and many who we would like to still be here to   enjoy life and share it with us have passed. (For example my grandmother, my sister, my next door neighbour) BE GRATEFUL for the blessing of life!

2. You have HOPE  – Even if things are not fabulous and you do not have everything your heart desires, make 2010 the year that you make your life better. Wake up because there is still HOPE for a better tomorrow and you can only find a better tomorrow if you take a STAND today!

3. CHANGE comes with the morning sunrise – Everyday is a new day, Everyday is the opportunity for a NEW beginning, its not only on Jan 1st that you should feel like you can make a change….That day is like any other, the sun rises and sets. MAKE EVERYDAY your Jan 1 and feel inspired every morning!

7. To HELP others - If you don’t like your life FINE, but don’t waste it….At least go and use the HANDS, EYES, LEGS and MIND that you are GIFTED with to HELP OTHERS who may NOT have the same faculties and amenities that you HAVE!

8. To be able to look back and say I tried – I look back on some of my year and I am very disappointed in myself, disappointed that I can’t even say with any conviction that EVERYDAY I TRIED my best to get to where I want to be! This is NOT GOOD ENOUGH! When my grandfather when he asked me “Are you trying your best?” Like he did when he first got to England from Jamaica and had to work his fingers to the bone …….I couldn’t look in his eyes and tell him “Yes, Grandad I am trying my best” and that kind of broke my heart a little.

So Alicia Keys and Swiss Beatsare clearly head over heels for each other and despite the fact that Mashonda is probably still fuming that Alicia stole her man….the new couple clearly don’t give a flying f**k and are about to shack up (move in together)  in New York City!!

The NY Post reported:

The stunning singer and her artist/producer boyfriend, Swizz Beatz, have been looking to buy a penthouse in the Peter Marino-designed condo building at 170 East End Ave., across the street from Gracie Mansion. A source told Page Six, “They’ve been back four times to view it.” Keys is said to be keen on the duplex penthouse, which features a fireplace, double-height ceilings, three bedrooms, floor-to-ceiling windows and East River views. The address has a gym, squash courts and private screening room. The building is home to hedge fund manager Arvind Sanger, who paid $12 million for his penthouse.

I’m not going to hate, If they love each other, good for them….. Let’s just hope karma doesn’t come back and ruin this relationship!  Alicia Keys is set to begin her Tour of North America on February 28th in Montreal, Quebec.

So one of my favourite celebrity couples is apparently getting married!! (yay!) Keyshia Cole and Daniel “Boobie” Gibson are rumoured to be getting married anytime now….. According to mediatakeout.com just after midnight on New Years Daniel produced a 10 Carat Diamond ring and popped the question. Sources say that Keyshia immediately said “Yes” after which she had a lil cry…obvious tears of joy people!

In more news singer, Monica,  has spilled the beans and informed us all via twitter that Keyshia Cole, soon to be Keyshia Gibson will be having a boy… Rumours about Keyshia being pregnant started way back in November……. so I’m guessing she will be expecting her lil boy sometime around May….. I wonder if they will have a small wedding before the baby is born or a big elaborate one after she pops? …. What do think amours?

Either way I’m happy for her, she’s going to have a beautiful family now…. I feel like she deserves it after the insanity shes has to deal with all these years that is the Frankie and Neffe show! …….Awwww can’t wait to see the baby pics I’m sure shes gona have a gorgeous lil bub!

OK so I’ve been hearing about Melanie Fiona for a while now and I decided to investigate into her background a little more, seen as she has now been nominated for a 2010 Grammy Award. Melaine Fiona may get herself a Grammy in a few weeks time for Best Female RnB Vocal Performance for her single “It Kills Me” and in light of her success this year I’m going to say she will be THE NEXT BIGGEST female RnB Singer for 2010!

Now I think her vocal range is fantastic and she has a earthy strong voice but for some reason I’m not 100% digging the song…. I think you have to be in the right mood for it….. But anyhu I still LOVE her….mainly becuase I had the pleasure of meeting her at some events last year and shes just a really sweet girl…..

OK, was it just me that missed the fact that just before Christmas Beyonce’s parents, Matthew and Tina Knowles definately began court proceedings to get their divorce in motion! Tina filed divorce papers against her husband of 29 years under the name Celestine, papers that became public just before the holidays….. Unfortunately it seems that money really can’t solve everything…..

Many seem to be pointing the finger at Alexsandra Wright, who filed a paternity suit against Matthew Knowles in October 2009, CLAIMING that she was 6 months pregnant with his child. This 30 year old woman was a business associate of Knowles’, they worked in the same marketing and promotions industry, so the rumours that she is carrying his baby could well be true……

However Tina Knowles had reportedly moved out ….and more or less up and left Matthew Knowles WAAAAAAAY BACK in January 2009 so maybe Alexsandra wasn’t the straw that broke the camels back!

Ok people it’s a new year and I am definately ON it like SONIC in #2010! So I just came back from my vacation in London and so I’m back into my London TV programmes…… anyhu I’m not sure if they have it in the US but over there we have a show callled Celebrity Big Brother….. basically where old faded out celebs go to try and re-build some fame….. and guess whos on this year….

Yes, mi amours….NONE OTHER than SISQO…… now I’m not sure where the hell he’s been for the last few years but he’s finally re-surfaced… to do (pause) Big Brother….? (Raises eyebrows) I suppose the recession really has affected all of us….. Anyhu I have to admit I’m a tad (little) confused as to why Sisqo would do UK Big Brother but I’m it will all become clear sooner or later…. when his new album drops or such like….

When asked for words of wisdom Sisqo said ”Artists are afraid to say who their influences are because they fear they’ll be put in the shadow of that artist. Not me. When I get an idea from somebody, I straightaway say, ‘I took it from them’.” …. Not sure how that quite amounts to wisdom as opposed to just being an unoriginal TEEF …but I’ma allow Sisqo (let this one slide)  just because back in the day, when he was in Dru Hill, I did used to love that lil man!
